Working Together Making a Difference
SRCGA is the primary operational infrastructure organisation working for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) within the borough of Stockton-on-Tees. The organisation has been delivering services in the boroughs most disadvantaged areas for more than 20 years, we have established links, and are deeply embedded in local communities with a thorough understanding of the political and social environment
SRCGA was established to provide a range of representational, networking, advice, guidance and capacity building services. SRCGA has a membership of over 410 VCS organisations.
Community engagement and involvement is a crucial part of our work and we provide practical support for grassroots community activity such as organisational structures, governance, policies and procedures, business/project planning, financial management, funding as well as training and one to one support.
Partnership working is part of SRCGA’s core business, while its focus is on community groups and organisations, these are in essence collections of individuals with common concerns, a desire to do something to improve their neighbourhoods and/or communities of interest/identity. SRCGA manages Stockton’s Community Empowerment Network, Faith Network which is at an embryonic stage, more recently Stockton’s Black and Minority Ethnic Network transferred from a multi cultural community centre to SRCGA to help to mainstream activity.
SRCGA is a Company Limited by Guarentee. Registration no: 3755917
